In the interest of safety unsupervised paddling membership is restricted to persons who:

  1. Can swim at least 50m unaided; and
  2. Have no medical condition(s) that may render themselves incapable of paddling, retaining balance or inhibit their ability to save themselves.

Kayaks – K1, K2, K4, TK1, TK2, OC1, OC2, TC1, single and double skis, and K1 ergometer

Paddles | Personal floation devices (PFDs)

Equipment may be borrowed from the club for up to 3 days

Personal kayak storage available for a small additional fee

3 state level races | Monthly time trials | Regular skills sessions | Team entry into other state level races

Showers, change rooms, lockers and toilet facilities, unlimited on-site parking

Club Funded Activities

FCC may sponsor individuals wishing to persue training as a coach, race official or administrator

Membership to Australian Canoeing

FCC membership also includes membership to Australian Canoeing, the sports governing body. AC is affiliated to the International Canoe Federation (ICF) and Australian Olympic Committee (IOC).

Membership of AC provides paddlers with public liability and personal accident insurance coverage.

Membership to FCC is by financial year (Jul-Jun) and includes membership to Australian Canoeing via Canoeing Victoria (CV).
